My Everyday Makeup Brushes

my everyday makeup brushes

I’m pretty particular when it comes to makeup brushes, as I think most are, for me they have to have a certain feel and work a certain way. Once I find a brush that meets those qualities, it earns a permanent spot in my collection! Like.. forever! One of these brushes I have had for almost 13 years!

These are my everyday makeup brushes, the brushes I use without fail no matter what look I’m putting together!

PS. Most of these are pretty affordable!

Let’s start with a somewhat recent addition.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush $7: I had been looking for a really good foundation brush and when I heard a lot of bloggers/vloggers talk about this brush about two years ago I knew I had to have it! The little dome shape is perfect for foundation, it really gets into the little crevices of your face and blends out cream products really nicely, no brush strokes here! The bristles are also synthetic and super soft!

Kind of an OG, I’ve had this brush for about 8 years. This came in a set of five brushes, I don’t really use the others anymore but this little brush I cannot do without! It fits perfectly into my crease but also fluffs out enough to really blend your shadow to perfection! The bristles are not synthetic (I kinda wish they were) but nonetheless it’s been a staple in my everyday routine.

E.l.f Complexion Brush $6: Also somewhat of a recent purchase, this is my goto for bronzer! It’s not too big not too small and feral is pinched so you have a little more control when working with your product. The bristles are really soft, easy to clean and I have yet to experience any shedding with this or any of my . This brush is also vegan friendly!

The real OG, this brush has been in my collection for almost 13 years now! And even after 13 years or use and many washes, it still works great! Nothing sets my face like this brush, I’ve used pressed and loose powder and this picks up the perfect amount of product and sweeps across your face so smoothly! While the brush is big and fluffy, the bristles have a nice density to them so it definitely makes it easy to blend out your powders!

FYI: The brush that is linked is only similar to the one I have, they no longer make this brush though the similar one may very well be a new and improved version of it! :)

These four brushes will definitely continue to be my everyday makeup brushes for years to come!

I love the Expert Face Brush by Real Techniques so much, it’s one of my go to foundation brushes! I haven’t tried any Sephora brushes but I really want to, everyone always raves about them. ELF brushes are pretty good too, I own a few of their eyeshadow brushes. My favourites are definitely Nanshy or Real Techniques, but I really want to pick up some Zoeva brushes x

I’ve been on the hunt for a decent blending brush that doesnt cost the earth and that Sephora one looks perfect. It’s so annoying that Sephora isn’t easy to buy from in the UK, I wish I lived in the States now!

It’s such a bummer that Sephora is not easily accessible for you guys in the UK, Sephora has some really great brushes most for a reasonable price.
